The Department
My client's market leading Employment, Pensions and Immigration team advises employers across the UK on all aspects of employment, pensions, and immigration law. Their clients are some of the UK's largest and best-known employers.
The role
To manage a mixed caseload of employment work and provide HR employment law advice to clients. This role will also be closely aligned to working with client on a national basis dealing with more than 400 employment tribunal claims a year.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of employment work - predominately discrimination, whistleblowing, and complex unfair dismissal employment tribunal claims.
- Conduct multi-day advocacy at the Employment Tribunal on a national basis and remotely where necessary.
- Provide strategic employment law and HR advice.
- Management of client relationships with key stakeholders
- Recording and reporting client management information and trends
- Assist in the designation and implementation of innovation and product development.
- Work in accordance with client and internal SLAs
- Work in accordance with firms' values
The person specification
- At least 1 years post qualification experience in employment law
- Employment tribunal advocacy experience is essential.
- Technically strong and excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills
- Methodical, organised approach
Flexible approach
The role is ideally based in their Leeds office, but they offer agile working which includes working out of any office in their portfolio and home working is available (this includes post pandemic)
