Professional Indemnity Solicitor – Maternity Cover

Our client is a leading professional services / accountancy firm looking for a Solicitor with a background in professional indemnity / professional negligence litigation. Based in London this is a nine-month fixed term contract.

Reporting into the Head of Legal, you will:

• Be a qualified solicitor with at least three years' PQE
• Have experience in professional negligence / professional indemnity litigation ideally with financial services / regulatory organisations
• Advise on complaints, regulatory and professional investigations, as well as legal issues arising from the business, such as contractual terms, exceptions to policy and other queries.
• Provide proactive guidance on key risk issues where needed, such as changes in law and regulation affecting the organisation.
• Support senior members of the legal team and Partners on Practice Protection, Reactive Advisory and Proactive Advisory activities.
• Be involved in company-wide projects, as determined by the Head of Legal.

Our client envisages that candidates with at least 3 years’ PQE will have the relevant skills / knowledge for this position, however this has been given as an approximate guide for applicants and our client is happy to consider the applications of candidates who fall outside of this PQE range but who have the relevant experience.
