Corporate Associate (Interim FTC)

A great opportunity for a Corporate Associate to join an international London based law firm on an initial 3 month fixed term contract basis

This role will work under supervision advising a diverse range of clients, from start-up businesses to major listed companies on a broad range of corporate matters. The work will include but not be limited to:

• Acquisitions and disposals;
• Mergers and reorganisations;
• Private equity and venture capital;
• Joint ventures; and
• General company law and regulatory advice, including corporate governance.

Duties and responsibilities

• Take responsibility under supervision and manage all aspects of client work in line with the firm's quality control procedures and the office manual;
• Deal directly with other lawyers and clients;
• Take work from a number of partners and associates and manage workload;
• Draft all documentation observing house style;
• Meet all financial targets;
• Assist in business development and marketing initiatives;
• Supervise junior members of the department such as paralegals and trainees where required;
• Keep up to date with developments within the law and develop expertise;
• Attend appropriate training sessions and ensure CPD obligations are met;
• Take an active part in departmental activities;

Requirements:

• Qualified solicitor in England and Wales, and circa 4 years' post qualified experience corporate law experience within private practice.
• Experience of advising on M&A and/or Private Equity transactions within private practice is required

Rate subject to experience but circa 80 -85K pro rata
