An exciting opportunity has arisen at a Top 50 law firm for an individual with Credit Hire experience to join their growing team in Liverpool as a Credit Hire Litigator.
The Role:
- Creating initial case strategy following Client Guidelines and review of information available
- Undertaking discussions and negotiations with Insured, Insurer and Third-Party Solicitors to pursue the rapid and appropriate settlements of cases and the apportionment of costs
- Undertaking Court Telephone Hearings to ensure progress is maximised and all actions have been undertaken to bring the case to settle
- Maintaining all case management, billing and management information systems
- Allocating funds to the appropriate client accounts as per agreed procedures
- Handling correspondence and telephone calls
- Undertaking periodic reviews of files in line with Client requirements
- Updating reports
- Meeting agreed performance targets
- Ensuring files are kept within ISO 9001 guidelines
- Providing written updates by email of letter to clients detailing case activity
- Ensuring compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct 2019
Person Specifics:
- Pervious experience in Credit Hire either defendant or claimant
- Experience of small claims and fast track matters
- Experience handling own caseload
- 3 GCSEs grade C or above including Maths, English and Science
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of the litigation process (desirable)
- Knowledge of RTAs (desirable)
- Experience of Indemnity Principles and CCFAs (desirable)
