This is an excellent opportunity for a Property Lawyer to join our client and work at the heart of the business and its projects.

This is a position for a Property Lawyer who also has litigation experience with particular experience in the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954. You will support the legal team on property queries from their inception through to the County Court and the Land Tribunal, on a wide variety of legal issues, working with external legal counsel, managing a portfolio of matters across a diverse range of legal property issues.

To be suitable you MUST have strong experience in the Landlord & Tenant Act 1954 and be post qualified, a minimum of 2 years. You are:

  • A Property Litigator.
  • A Property Lawyer who is happy to diversify that experience to include litigated matters.
  • Already working broadly across non-contentious and contentious property matters.
  • Eligible to work in the UK.
  • Qualified in England & Wales or another Commonwealth Law jurisdiction with the requisite UK experience.
  • Experienced working in a law firm or have a combination of working in a law firm or in-house.

You will work with a close-knit team with the ability to broaden your legal expertise in an in-house culture that is progressive. You will have visibility and direct exposure to all levels of the business and its decision makers. There is a large legal team already sitting within our client working on other projects however, this project offers a person an opportunity to join this team early, positioning yourself well for professional and career growth.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Provide effective litigation legal advice associated with the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 (essential).
  • Provide effective legal advice more specifically associated with the provisions of the Telecoms Act, old and new ECC and Code of Practice (not essential).
  • Advise on site agreements working with external parties, including surrender and regrants, lease renewals, assignments, and variations.
  • Resolve legal disputes with Landlords or other third parties including access and repair issues, rent payment disputes and planning enforcement issues.
  • Advise legal team in regional areas on legal queries.
  • When required interface with land-owner representatives with respect to legal matters whilst keeping shareholders fully informed.
  • Engage with the wider property litigation team, business units and key stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the improvement of internal processes and product knowledge management.
  • Strive to meet business objectives and goals.

Remote working is included as part of the culture, you will only be required to be in the office 2 days per week, making this position great for those who are looking for a good degree of flexible working arrangements.
