The Firm

Through further growth they are looking at expanding their experienced team where you will work closely alongside Partners in a valuable and enviable work environment. The growth also means there is plenty of scope for progression. The Partners are there to guide you through your career and help you where necessary. You will also work with them on cases where your expertise can be utilised. Although you will be supported in this role you will not be micromanaged and their Solicitors are granted a lot of autonomy to strengthen their own caseload.

They have multiple offices with ambitious plans for further offices in the ensuing years. They are looking for people who can show potential to run teams and even open their own offices in the future.

The Role

The firm is looking to hire an Employment Lawyer to join their expanding team near Hertford.

You will be responsible for inheriting an expanding on an existing caseload, adopting the firm's entrepreneurial ethos and working alongside the specialist Partners to build the brand further.

They are now looking for a client facing Employment Lawyer with significant business development experienced to join them in an a very progressive role, to work on an expanding and exciting portfolio of clients.

Although this opportunity will be based around your specialist areas, you will be expected to have a broad knowledge across all areas of contentious and non-contentious Employment including:

  • Employment Disputes and Tribunals
  • Settlements Contracts and Handbooks
  • Restrictive Covenants
  • Business Restructuring
  • Discrimination
  • Unfair Dismissal and Disciplinaries
  • TUPE

If you are an experienced Lawyer seeking the opportunity to work on an existing and varied portfolio meanwhile building your own client base - this firm will work with you closely to facilitate this offering full support to ensure your future within the firm.

Requirements

  • You will be an Employment Lawyer with at least 5 years PQE +
  • There is no upper limit in PQE
  • Experience of managing and mentoring more junior colleagues is advantageous
  • You should have first-class communication, outstanding business development skills and an entrepreneurial flair
  • A transferable client base or regional contacts is highly advantageous
