Environmental Lawyer

Hodge Jones & Allen Solicitors are looking to recruit a full-time Environmental Lawyer.   

Applications will be considered from qualified solicitors or junior barristers.  The role is a permanent position however applications for other arrangements such as a fixed-term contract / secondment will be considered.

This position will work alongside a small existing team within our wider Civil Liberties and Human Rights department to help drive forward the firm’s environmental legal work and engage in strategic litigation. 

This role offers an exciting opportunity for those with experience of running, or advising on, environmental law cases.  Litigation experience is essential and the applicant should be able to demonstrate an interest in and knowledge of environmental issues.  The role will involve building, or assisting in the building of, a caseload and will involve marketing and networking.

Applications from those with additional experience in human rights, personal injury and/or planning cases are welcome.   

Applicants should have excellent technical, organisational and drafting skills.

The role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to work on some ground breaking cases and engage in creative lawyering.

The role will benefit from access to a paralegal and may involve some supervisory duties. 

Salary is dependent upon experience.
