Seeking an experienced Commercial/ IT/ Procurement Lawyer to support small legal team with excellent track record.

Description
Core Responsibilities:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiation of diverse range of commercial contracts including, but not limited to, software licences, software development agreements, system implementation agreements, transformational consultancy agreements, procurement and sale agreements and confidentiality agreements.
- Provision of high quality legal advice, project management support and risk analysis in respect to (i) the aforementioned agreements (ii) procurement undertaken by the UK group companies and (iii) the submission of tender responses by the UK group companies to third party vendors.
- Involvement in the provision of wider legal advice to the UK group companies including, including but not limited to, general commercial issues, corporate, anti-trust, intellectual property rights, data privacy, consumer law and property.
- Providing strategic support to senior management, as required.
- Where required, the creation and delivery of training to the business on legal topics.
- Where required, supporting the Company Secretary, Compliance Officer and Data Protection Officer with their duties.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, external legal counsel, government bodies and industry associations
Profile
- The candidate should have an extensive background within large multinational businesses and ideally a background in Private Practice.
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales
- Strong experience in broad commercial legal matters, IT/ SaaS matters, Procurement, consumer law and Data Protection
- Ability to start new role within 1-2 weeks
- Ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders
- Experience within manufacturing or TMT businesses or working on TMT matters within top private practice law firm
- Ability to travel to Reading office 2 days a week. Currently working from home but may be a need moving forward.
Job Offer
Day rate £600 per day (inside IR35 - Umbrella company) depending on experience
Excellent flexibility - 1 day a week in the office
