Job Description
Giambrone is seeking a Head of Digital (HoD) to support the firm’s rapid expansion into UK and EMEA markets. We are looking for a strategic, creative and results-oriented marketer to join our London-based team.
This is a multifaceted role, requiring mid to senior level omni-channel digital expertise. Reporting to the Director of Business Development, The HoD will be responsible for driving new client acquisition and improving retention, by overseeing omni-channel marketing strategies aimed at generating new leads, growing brand awareness and driving perception change among key customer segments.
Applicants will be required to have a minimum of ten years’ experience, preferably within the legal, professional services or B2B sectors. They will possess strong written and oral communication skills, be able to multi-task and effectively manage internal and external stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategy: Develop long-term digital marketing roadmap, setting SMART departmental objectives aligned with firm-wide business objectives.
- Campaign Planning: Oversee yearly digital marketing plan and campaign rollout, including media buying and planning. Optimise reporting on agreed KPIs to all levels of the business.
- Lead Acquisition: drive growth by generating new leads through paid channels mapping our user journeys and being responsible for the entire path-to-conversion process.
- Email Marketing: develop email marketing strategy for all business verticals. Implement digital automation plan to deliver personalised content to defined customer segments.
- Owned Channel Management: Oversee corporate website, email database, CRM and social platforms, monitoring performance to improve UX, design, content, data capture, analytics.
- Social Media Strategy: Develop cross-channel social strategy and content rollout plan across key platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn) focussing on reach and user engagement.
- Data Protection: Act as the firm’s data protection officer overseeing the firm’s data protection strategy and its implementation to ensure compliance with GDPR requirements.
- Content Strategy: Oversee content strategy and rollout across owned /paid channels. to support paid social and organic SEO.
- SEO: Manage SEO strategy to increase SERP position for target keywords via on-page content optimisation and back-link building. Regularly benchmark against competitor presence.
- Reporting: Monitor and report on channel and campaign performance via Google analytics, Google Data Studio, CRM and other systems to test/learn and optimise both on site and across all media.
- Team management: Be responsible for the day-to-day management of Digital Marketing Team and their ongoing development.
- Budgeting and Finance: Work with partners, lawyers and the Head of Business Development to develop and update regular P&L statements and manage yearly budget.
- Digital Brand Management: Adapt brand guidelines and tone of voice to online channels acting as brand champion across the firm to ensure identity is adhered to across all digital platforms.
General Accountabilities
- Participate in firm wide, local, departmental or practice group projects as and when they arise.
- Champion the latest innovations in digital marketing, acting as a digital ambassador across the firm and encouraging a culture of experimentation and test and learn.
- On occasions, be available to undertake weekend or evening work commitments such as participating at networking events and conferences.
- Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post’s level of responsibility which fall under the general scope of the role.
Qualifications and Experience/Skills:
- Experience in planning and delivering integrated marketing campaigns across the full marketing mix.
- Relevant digital marketing qualification combined with minimum ten years’ experience preferably in B2B, legal/professional services sectors.
- Solid understanding of sales funnel and the implementation across digital
- Significant experience managing and developing website(s) and associated digital marketing programmes;
- Data literate, able to review / assess / make recommendations as a result of analysis
- Proficiency in Google Analytics and/or Google Data Studio and other digital measurement tools.
- Knowledge of current data protection legislation and GDPR guidelines.
- Ability to research, prepare, justify and present digital marketing proposals to senior management
- Agency management experience (UI/UX, design & build, PPC/SEO, Creative, Media Planning)
- Experience managing CRM, PPC, SEO, e-marketing programmes
- Understanding of financial control, budgeting and P&L
- Advanced analytical, problem solving and strategic thinking skills;
- Ability to understand and apply consumer intelligence, data and insights for marketing planning.
- Multitasker - able to work across multiple projects to tight timescales
- A self-starter with the ability to take responsibility and work independently;
