Your new role
An important Legal Counsel position reporting into the Head of Legal, within a talented and respected in-house legal function. This commercial generalist position will involve advising the company on legal and business risk and negotiating contracts in line with the organisation's ground and marine logistics activities. These may include supply, procurement, outsourcing, framework and joint venture matters, among other cross-border activities. This role will be based in the company's sizeable hub in Buckinghamshire. Please note that this role will require the successful candidate to obtain security clearance.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK qualified commercial lawyer with training in a reputable firm on in-house legal function, with 1-4 PQE (as a guide). You must have demonstrable experience of negotiating and reviewing varied commercial agreements in a fast-moving environment, and the emotional intelligence and problem-solving approach to manage stakeholders at all levels of the organisation. Experience in the logistics or defence sectors would be advantageous.
