The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting the successful management of the energy & infrastructure portfolio by effectively managing all key project contracts. This will include ensuring key counterparties are compliant with various elements of contracts, as well as managing renewals and tenders.

Client Details

My client owns and manages 440MW of energy assets across the solar, hydro, wind, reserve power, AD and storage sectors. They provide asset management services to the energy portfolio, spanning accounting and finance, data, operations and engineering.

Description

You will work closely with the wider team, specifically the operations team, providing legal support in other areas of asset management such as disputes and performance guarantee claims.

Key tasks

  • Support in the management of O&M contracts across the portfolio, by ensuring contractual compliance, measuring contractor performance and supporting tender processes.
  • Manage performance guarantee process across the portfolio. This will include understanding the key commercial terms under each contract, liaising with O&M contractors and negotiation through differences in positions.
  • Management of other key project contracts, including insurance policies, import power contracts and PPA agreements. This will include ensuring compliance and managing renewals.
  • Providing legal support to the wider team and generally supporting team objectives, potentially including small volumes of office administration.
  • Support on regulatory, health & safety and environmental compliance across the portfolio.
  • Onboarding new acquisitions into IT systems and asset management processes, including data collection and document organisation.
  • Ensuring complete and accurate record keeping, satisfactory completion of contract milestones

Profile

  • A proactive and driven individual balanced with an enthusiastic and positive energy is a must.
  • Experience of contract management is essential, preferably from a legal background.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills and ability to present technical solutions clearly.
  • Goal orientated, with strong negotiation skills necessary to achieve results. Outstanding project management and organisational characteristics.
  • Immaculate attention to detail; ability to switch fluidly between the big picture and detail.
  • Excellent English language skills.
