Senior Legal Counsel – French or German Speaker

Global technology group seeks a Senior Legal Counsel to take a lead role in overseeing advice to their European businesses. This presents an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work closely with regional management on cutting edge, world-class software and services.

The Role:

As a Senior Legal Counsel reporting to the Head of Legal for EMEA, you will:

• Be the first point of contact for regional management in regard to a range of legal matters and reporting
• Negotiate and draft customer and partner agreements
• Provide legal advice in areas such as competition, procurement, employment and litigation
• There is also scope to take a key role in Data Protection matters if you are experienced in this area
• Manage external counsel
• Providing support to the EMEA legal team regarding regulatory matters and ongoing projects
• Mentor other team members and conduct internal training
• Travel internationally on occasion

Key Requirements:

• Qualified to practice law in either the UK or another common law jurisdiction
• Minimum or 2 years* post qualification experience
• Strong drafting skills, and ability to analyse complex technology agreements including software
• IT sector experience is a benefit or experience in sectors such as media, pharmaceuticals or FMCG could also be a fit
• Able to work autonomously within a supportive team
• Entrepreneurial spirit. Able to work in a fast paced, dynamic, multi-cultural environment
