Our client, a highly respected Global law firm, are looking for a strong antitrust and competition lawyer to join them in this newly created role. This is an extremely dynamic and multifacted role ideally suited to anyone with a minimum of 5 years' PQE with a top 20 law firm. Previous knowledge management experience is preferred, but not required.

About the role
As a Knowledge Management Lawyer, you will be responsible for monitoring current legal developments for the antitrust and litigation departments in London, keeping the attorneys abreast of these developments and leading the team's thought leadership efforts. You will have a particular focus on the Antitrust & Competition practice but will also provide support where possible to the Complex Commercial Litigation and White Collar Defence & Investigations practices. Key responsibilities include:
* Monitoring current legal, regulatory and market practice developments for the department and preparing communications and tailored thought leadership materials for attorneys and clients (including client alerts, blog posts, newsletters, client presentations and pitches)
* Managing and coordinating the creation and delivery of knowledge assets for the department, supporting attorneys in the group to work as efficiently as possible and avoid situations where they are "re-inventing the wheel"
* Utilizing attorneys within the department to support the delivery of the KM effort, coordinating their involvement, seeking partner feedback and review as required
* Designing and implementing processes to gather precedent to be stored on the firm's knowledge databases
* Training attorneys in the department as to the use, scope, and availability of the firm's knowhow and knowledge management resources
* Generally acting as a sounding board for technical legal queries from attorneys.

In order to be considered, you must be:
* A solicitor qualified in England and Wales (or a foreign qualified lawyer with more than 5 years experience in the UK with a top 20 law firm).
* Highly organised with meticulous attention to detail
* A self-starter willing to take the initiative

and have:
* A minimum of three years' post-qualification experience as a practicing lawyer in an antitrust and competition practice at a leading international law firm. Additional experience in a KM Lawyer role focusing on antitrust and competition will be viewed positively but is not necessary.
* Extensive substantive knowledge of antitrust and competition law
* Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to interact effectively with people at all organisational levels of the firm

Minimum salary of £130K, but goes up substantially dependent upon experience.

*Where a level of experience is indicated, this is a guideline only and represents the amount of time we would usually expect a candidate to accumulate the requisite level of experience. This does not preclude applications from candidates with more or less experience.
