Our client is a GLOBAL power / energy and cutting edge Tech projects business.
They are already an industry leader and have further expansion projected.
To support this growth they are seeking to appoint a commercial Contract Manager with PRE-SALES experience to their Europe & Nordics team. This role will lead pre-award contractual affairs in the UK / Ireland and wider Europe.
The role may be based anywhere in the UK and could assume management responsibility for another CM in short time.
Applicants must have a hands-on approach, relevant industry background and the ability to build effective business relationships.
Key responsibilities:
- Pre-sales activities performing T&C reviews & propose winning contractual set-up, referring to corporate Legal, Tax, and other Subject Matter Experts where required.
- Identify, review and mitigate financial, legal & commercial risks in coordination with Subject Matter Experts.
- Negotiate T&Cs with the customer, business partners & third-party suppliers, ensuring back to back contracts where appropriate.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer of commercial contract set-up from pre-sales to execution to maximise commercial success of projects.
Required:
- Construction / Tech / Power projects background
- Pre-sales contract management experience
- Experience of managing commercial and contractual risk
- Experience of overseeing business policy and governance
- Eligible to work in the UK with prior experience of UK and international operations
- Qualified to degree level in relevant discipline (Legal, Quantity Surveying, Business Management)
- Knowledge of legal terms and commercial concepts
- IACCM or additional professional membership advantageous
