One of our large Global law Firm Clients is currently searching for a new Business and Billings Administrator to join its busy finance division, in a growing and fast evolving practice area. This role will provide direct billing support and assistance to the Practice Head, working diligently and communicatively to strict deadlines with a view to aid the success and growth of the department and colleagues. The role will primarily be month end focused, with the rest of the time split between assisting the wider Business Group with billing and queries including conducting and organising WIP review meetings.

The role will involve the managing the preparation of bills for the practice area, and ensuring this process is done in an accurate and timely fashion. The candidate will be working closely with senior members of staff and therefore must be polished and well-presented and be able to produce bills to the required standard ready to send off to clients. The workload for this role will require the successful candidate to manage and prioritise workloads efficiently dealing with a number of currencies and complex multi-mattered bills. Experience with billing systems is vital as the candidate will be required to upload bills to e-billing portals and ensure that queries and issues are followed up with relevant stakeholders to be corrected and adjusted.

The candidate must have experience in a legal billing environment, and as previously mentioned be able to deal with member of staff of all levels of seniority in an appropriate way, whilst still being able to speak out and assert themselves on issues where necessary, maintaining professional relationships inside and outside of the firm. The candidate must also have proven knowledge and experience of Solicitors’ Accounting rules, VAT and the Aderant system.

The core hours for this role are 9:30am- 5:30pm with a flexible attitude should the need be required. The role will be paying from £36,000- £40,000 depending on experience.
