Modern, informal and progressive practice based in the heart of the West end is seeking an experienced Property Finance or Banking Paralegal to work closely with Partners, Associates and Paralegals in their highly regarded Real Estate and Real Estate Finance Team
It’s an extremely varied role and will provide exposure to a broad range of matters including:
- Acting for UK and overseas corporate and individual borrowers in relation to bridging, investment and development loans;
- Acting for lenders in relation to loans secured over commercial properties and residential investment properties; and
- Undertaking security review for lenders and insolvency practitioners, as well as advising on enforcement of security.
To apply, you will need to have a law degree or qualification (LLB or GDL preferred), and at least 12 months experience of working in a legal environment and competence in finance transactions, including drafting and agreeing board minutes, directors’ certificates and shareholders’ resolutions, drafting or reviewing basic loan agreements and security documents, as well as coordinating satisfaction of conditions precedents and dealing with registering security at Companies House and Land Registry.
This role is likely to appeal to someone who has a proven interest and focus in the areas of banking or property finance and is seeking a long-term career as part of a well-respected, established team operating within a highly profitable, long established and reputable London firm, markedly different to a typical ‘City Law Firm’ with the potential for the right candidate/employee for this role to lead to a training contract with the firm.
