VP Legal Counsel Equity Solutions Global Investment Bank

The role is to provide legal support for the Equity Solutions Group who provide bespoke equity solutions to clients across a range of products from equity derivatives to margin loans. Joining an existing desk of experience legal counsel. 

Provide advice on transactions as well as  regulatory change and achieving strategic priorities.

Key Accountabilities

• Transactional support: The majority of the work will involve providing support to the Equity Solutions Group including advising on, and drafting documentation for, equity derivatives transactions, structured share buyback trades and margin loans.  
• Policies and Procedures: developing and implementing policies and procedures applicable to the business area to minimise legal risks.
• Regulatory Change:  advising on and helping to implement regulatory change projects as well as programmes to enable the strategic development of the business area.
• Counsel: Management of external counsel including responsibility for legal spend is a key accountability.
• Knowledge management
• Strategic Partner: Acting as strategic partner and advisor to the Equity Solutions business as well as other business and infrastructure partners on the legal, regulatory, and reputational impact of regulatory change and implementation.

Candidate Profile 

A Legal Counsel with experience of Equity Derivatives and Equity Solutions either working in-house or in Private Practice
