A prestigious UK Law Firm is looking to hire a new HR Assistant to join the growing team on an initial 6 month FTC to assist in providing comprehensive, proactive operational support within the HR team and more broadly to the firm’s HR function. 

Responsibilities will include dealing with e-filing/scanning/printing/photocopying requests for the HR Team, manage and maintain the annual HR calendar, provide monthly updates to the team at team meetings and diarise important dates, providing administrative and organisational support to the HR Management Team including typing, preparation and distribution of correspondence and documents and other office related tasks as requested from time to time, assisting members of the HR Management team with ongoing ER matters or projects with tasks such as preparing letters, scripts and checklists, drafting correspondence, updating HR reports/spreadsheets/documents/templates, keeping on top of relevant diary dates, updating the HR system in a timely manner, supporting the HR Team with both operational annual projects (annual salary review, bonus review, appraisals etc.) as well as ad-hoc projects such as systems and process changes, complete all tenancy, mortgage and ex-employee reference requests in a timely manner and in line with the team's SLAs, monitor and take ownership of the Absence mailbox ensuring timely recording of self-certificates and other absence forms and flagging any concerns with the relevant HR Adviser/Manager and support the HR Advisers with sickness absence reviews as requested, e.g. gathering sickness data.    

 

Candidates need to have legal HR experience at Administrator/Assistant level within a professional services organisation, preferably within a law firm, excellent organisational and communication skills in addition to strong MS Office skills.  Standard hours are 9.30am – 5.30pm and a salary of up to £28,000 is on offer.
