General Counsel, Scaling company across multiple jurisdictions

OUR CLIENT:

A scaling tech/fintech firm is looking for General Counsel to lead the commercial team. This firm has recently expanded internationally and is looking to continue this trajectory into several countries globally.

THE ROLE:

Working closely with the executive committee, you will be working with a range of stakeholders on different legal matters. Your role will include:

• Providing advice on strategy for the firm and guiding them through their scale up across multiple jurisdictions.
• Leading on large value contractual negotiations on behalf of the company
• Drafting and negotiation of a broad range of commercial agreements, including terms of business, outsourcing, IT, marketing, sponsorship agreements
• Supporting senior stakeholders on key internal projects
• Liaising with external legal counsel when required

THE CANDIDATE:

The successful candidate will be/have:

• 10PQE+* Commercial lawyer with experience gained either in-house or in private practice
• An interest in tech would be a plus not a pre-requisite
• Ideally an individual with experience advising on cross border issues
• An enthusiastic, robust, proactive individual who is looking for an interesting challenge

*Candidates outside of the PQE bracket with the right experience will also be considered for the position
