A large, full-service law firm with offices across East Anglia is looking for an experienced Residential Property Partner with management experience to head up one of its busy teams in Essex as its new Partner. This is a full-time, permanent role with partnership/equity available for the right candidate.

Your New Team

Are you an experienced Residential Property Partner who is looking to manage a successful team of fee-earners within a supportive environment where you will be given all the resources necessary to help develop and shape a department?

The residential team is very busy at the moment, but it is not under resourced and it does not undertake volume conveyancing. A lot of the work that the team does is from referrals from other departments, and they act for several higher net worth clients.

Your New Role

The Residential Property Partner will be responsible for directly managing a number of fee earners, so the role requires somebody with significant management experience. With some support from senior Partners, you will be responsible for:

• Shaping and developing the department.
• Day-to-day management of the fee earners.
• Overseeing financials for the team.
• Driving performance.
• Setting up systems and structures for the team to run more efficiently and effectively.

Career Progression

This is a very important recruit for the firm so they would be looking for somebody to come in at Senior Associate level or, if the candidate already has significant Partner experience within a large or regional firm, then there may be the opportunity to come in as a Partner.

Thereafter it is envisaged that the successful applicant will be invited after 12 months to enter an equity partnership scenario where they can expect an income in the six-figure region and with an increasing profit share with the passage of time. The practice is extremely profitable and solvent.

About You

It is likely that you have significant PQE (probably at least 3 years) as a qualified Residential Property Solicitor and significant management/Partner level experience of running a successful residential team. A following is not required.
