The role :
- Provides commercial advice and support on legal issues.
- Provide advice to business areas on Compliance related matters within the OpCo country, region or line of business.
- Negotiate and draft various types of legal documents including contracts, memos, subcontracts, vendor, trading, and acquisition agreements as well as other legal documents.
- Analyse new and changing laws and regulations.
- Identifiy liability exposure and provide creative solutions to manage and reduce risk.
- Interact with outside legal counsel for the Company as well as outside counsel for adverse parties and governmental agencies. Reviews outside counsel work product.
Required experience:
- Legal Counsel with in-house experience
- In-house experience negotiating commercial contracts
- Financial Services experience a plus
