Corporate Solicitor / Associate Cheshire - An exciting opportunity has arisen in this leading corporate / commercial firm for a corporate solicitor of 0-5 PQE. This recruitment drive is part of a sustained period of recent investment in the corporate team. The department is interested in hearing from candidates at all levels as the corporate team is set for further growth.

Role and responsibilities

• Reports to: Head of Department
• Previous experience: 0-5 PQE - Candidates should have a solid background in corporate work - predominantly M&A work though the team also advises on an increasing number of private equity deals. Commercial experience will also be considered.

The corporate team of this leading firm is one of the most progressive names in the North West corporate market. Most of the work originates from the thriving SME market though the firm also does a good balance of work which is normally the preserve of city centre practices.

The recent growth of the team, coupled with the desire to strengthen the expertise within the department, has resulted in the need for a solicitor or associate with around 0-5 years PQE. Given the general strategy for the team, they are willing to look at candidates at all levels.

A fantastic breadth of work

The majority of the team's workload comes from mainstream corporate instructions. The department advises on an impressively high deal volume of mergers and acquisitions, often acting for the buyer. In particular, they are currently advising a number of especially acquisitive management teams in a variety of sectors, such as finance, retail and construction.

As well as M&A work, the department also has a growing reputation in private equity and advises some of the key players in the Northern market.
