Our fantastic international law firm client is currently looking for a Paralegal Manager to join their team in their Liverpool office, The ambition is to provide one centralised team resource of paralegals delivering value across all Practice Areas. The ambition of this team would be to grow from 9 Paralegals up to 50 within the next 2 years and this role is hugely vital to that change.
Main responsibilities for this Paralegal Manager role include managing and growing the UK teams of generalist and specialist paralegals across the firm's Practice Areas working alongside our partners, associates, PSLs, Litigation Support managers, trainees and legal support teams across all our UK offices, undertaking an element of fee earning work, initially spending the balance of the time setting up and growing the team, embedding best practice and increasing revenue attributable to the paralegal team. Shifting to more of a focus on fee earning when the team is established, enabling you to demonstrate best practice in fee earning capability, providing a high level of paralegal support to fee-earning departments, establishing and maintaining excellent client relationships at all levels, meeting and exceeding internal SLAs, providing supportive staff and skills management to the Paralegal Operations team and drive awareness throughout the business, building a cohesive team to support the business with the delivery of core paralegal tasks, taking an active role in the recruitment, appointment, induction, training and utilisation of both permanent and temporary staff and manage their associated agencies.
The most important experience for this role is previous experience managing Paralegals or similar members of staff, candidates must be within commuting distance of Liverpool. The core hours of this role are 9.30am – 5.30pm and this role will have a flexible salary dependant on experience.
