Commercial IP and IT 2PQE+ *Top Tier International Firm*

Top tier international firm, with a market leading commercial/IP/IT group, is looking to hire a commercial/IP/IT lawyer with training and 2+ PQE gained within another highly respected City or regional commercial team. The partners are also happy to consider lawyers coming from top tier commercial/IP/IT teams in common law jurisdictions. This role, given its breadth, would best suit a generalist commercial IP and IT lawyer, however applications are warmly welcomed from commercial lawyers who to date have specialised in either intellectual property or technology work and are keen to gain broader experience. All associates in the team do a real mix of non-contentious IP and IT, general commercial contracts and contentious IP, as well as corporate support. The group's contentious IP work is not usually Court work, so is unlikely to suit a pure IP litigator. The group’s client base is fantastic, comprising many household names across a variety of sectors, and most associates do a secondment during their time at the firm. The breadth of work is so great that, besides technical skill, the qualities the partners look for in potential new associates include agility and the ability to turn their hand to new things – the work is never repetitive.
