US law firm based in London is looking to hire a new Junior HR Coordinator, this role will be to offer a full generalist service reporting directly to the Director of Administration. This London office is only small in number but is very busy and this role is a position where you can make it your own – you will have your core responsibilities but will have the opportunity to step-up to take on higher-level HR work however with the team only being two in size a ‘roll your sleeves up’ attitude will be needed.
Duties will include being responsible for maintaining accurate data on the HR system (Workday) e.g. joiners, leavers, office transfers, changes to working patterns, employee personal details and absences, preparing HR correspondence e.g. probation completion, reference requests, salary review and bonus communications, etc, assisting with the onboarding process, assisting with the leaver procedures, maintaining the employee benefits membership databases with joiners, leavers and other amendments, maintaining the HR pages onto the intranet, providing active support to the Firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives, providing assistance with the appraisal processes, managing appraisal documentation, etc, assisting with annual salary and bonus review processes, updating the HR system, etc, acting as the point of contact for holiday queries, managing the year-end holiday/carry over process and providing holiday accrual reports as and when required, monitoring and logging sickness absence, forwarding Self Certification forms for completion as appropriate and highlighting potential issues or concerns, administration and onboarding of ad hoc Work Experience students and any ad hoc project work, as required e.g. benchmarking, research, change management projects.
Candidates should ideally have a minimum 18+ months legal HR experience where you have valued and trusted relationships with the internal stakeholders and are wanting to take that step-up and forward in your career where you will gain further HR and staff exposure.
