My client is a well-known and highly regarded Legal 500 Law firm, who are looking for a talented Professional Indemnity Associate/Solicitor to add to their team.

The team, along with the rest of the Firm, has embedded a flexible and agile culture. Their working flexibly policy makes agile working accessible to all, whilst always balancing an individual's needs with the requirements of the team, the firm, and its clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is starting their career in this field, or for an experienced Solicitor to continue their career within an excellent firm.

The Role

  • Supporting the Professional Indemnity Team 
  • Investigate, handle and respond to complaints made against the against individual lawyers, and those providing professional services e.g. Accountants.
  • Consulting with partners and fee earners to gather information and understand the issues; advising on next steps and providing advice on compliance with the SRA Code of Conduct; reporting to insurers; investigating allegations and drafting Pre-Action Protocol letters of response; and, where necessary, working with panel firms and counsel.
  • Have effective day to day oversight of Professional Indemnity claims or potential claims which are or might be of major significance to the Firm.
  • Supporting partners in handling complaints
  • Dealing with ad hoc internal enquiries relating to professional indemnity issues and questions of liability, including advising on relevant provisions in client terms

Person Specification

  • NQ – 7 years PQE
  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales.
  • An eye for detail 
  • In-depth understanding of the regulatory regime as it applies to law firms in the UK
  • Ability to work to deadlines, juggle multiple projects and deliver under pressure.
  • A practical and common-sense approach
  • Ability to deal with confidential matters with discretion.


Salary will be dependent on experience
