A Tier 1 ranked major player in Leeds is seeking a Planning Solicitor to bolster their well established practice in Leeds. This role is offered full time on a permanent basis, with agile working options available.

THE FIRM AND TEAM

This firm are a full service commercial law firm in the centre of Leeds. They complete work for a top quality client base and are widely regarded as one of the most successful practices in the North of England.

Their Planning team specialises in planning and environmental work and acts for major developers and on infrastructure projects. They deal with all aspects of planning law including appeals for planning, Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, drafting and negotiation of planning and related agreements whilst navigating the environmental implications of development proposals.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The successful candidate will assist with all elements of the teams planning service, fro early stage development proposals, including planning application and Environmental Statement audits to contentious matters at the Planning Appeal or High Court stage. You will develop relationships with national clients and have access to the highest quality planning work, with genuine career progression opportunities with one of the largest dedicated Planning practices in the North.

In both planning and environment law, the team have the ability to provide an efficient 'one stop' service. Expect amble opportunities to gain hands on experience in advocacy at Public Inquiries and in the Higher Courts.

THE CANDIDATE

- The candidate will be at least a newly qualified Solicitor with relevant planning experience
- Technically excellent and track record of ensuring the provision of a high standard of client service
- Strong academics and interpersonal skills
