In-house Corporate Lawyer

One of the largest and most well-known businesses in the Midlands is seeking to add a 1-3 PQE Corporate M&A lawyer to their experienced in-house legal team.

This position is available in either the Nottingham or London office, with a generous split of home and office working.

The Business

This company is a leader in its field and works alongside some of the largest and most well-respected companies across a range of sectors.
Following on from their market-leading position in the UK, the business is looking to enhance its international offerings through targeted acquisitions to fuel further growth across Europe.

The Role

Reporting into the Head of M&A, the successful applicant will work with senior stakeholder across the business as well as both the UK and EMEA legal teams to drive further growth through a range of M&A work.

In addition to Corporate work there will be the opportunity to develop your skills in Commercial, IP and Data Protection matters, gaining valuable exposure to a full range of in-house work.

Whilst you will work closely with the Head of M&A and as part of a small Corporate function, you will support lawyers across the large UK and EMEA legal teams on a range of domestic and international work to help the business meet its growth objectives.

This is a strategy-focused role, rather than focused on volume.

The Person

The successful candidate will be a 1-3 PQE Corporate lawyer with a good background in M&A work, with a keen interest in moving in-house and a desire to develop in new areas such as Commercial, IP and DP.
