LAW Absolute is currently seeking a diligent and conscientious Childcare paralegal to work on behalf of a local authority based in London for an initial duration of 3 months.
The successful candidate will be able to work cohesively within an experienced team, with one paralegal to every two lawyers, thus an ability to work collaboratively will be imperative to the role.
The Childcare Paralegal will be required to undertake a diverse caseload and so it is essential that candidates will have experience and be competent in:
- Filing and Serving documents
- Bundling
- Checking applications
- Gathering evidence
- Redacting evidence
- Liaising with counsel and external parties
- Drafting witness statements and applications
- S.7 and S.37 reports
- Carrying a small PLO caseload
Whilst this role is currently remote, there will be the requirement to attend the office at least once a week to print and scan documents etc. The council will in due course reinstate office-based working although this may not be five days per week.
The council is surrounded by a multitude of shops and restaurants, and this is an excellent opportunity to build on experience you may have already gained. Experience working as a childcare paralegal is essential. Candidates with private sector experience but with public childcare exposure are encouraged to apply.
