Description
What you will do
- Draft/review and negotiate a wide variety of commercial contracts, with a particular focus on construction agreements, IT agreements and sales and marketing agreements
- Act as key legal advisor to the head office functions on procurement matters, providing commercial and strategic advice
- Review, implement and embed greater efficiencies into our contractual processes working closely with Procurement and other head office business functions (e. IT, Sales & Marketing);
- Delivering identified Legal Operations projects, ensuring appropriate communication and engagement within the team, to the internal client, and Management, to help successfully embed new ways of working.
- Help the implementation of compliance programmes and provide support as necessary across compliance initiatives (e. data protection; anti-bribery and corruption; anti-money laundering; sanctions; competition).
Profile
- 2 - 5 years' PQE (English law qualified) with a recognised national law firm
- High level of understanding of general contract law and experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and transaction documents independently
- A knowledge of legal compliance topics, including GDPR, competition, anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions and money laundering regulations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, along with great attention to detail
- Builds strong business relationships and naturally influences stakeholders
