The Firm
The firm are a top 100 Legal firm with three offices across the UK. They are a full service firm with over 500 partners and staff members across the UK.
The Department
Working within this Legal 500 ranked immigration department, a great opportunity has arisen within the firm's central London office for a confident Paralegal with a real interest in Corporate & Personal Immigration and who wishes to make their career in this ever changing field. Applications are invited from paralegals who have experience of the new Skilled Worker and Sponsor Licence criteria as well as points based applications.
Role Requirements
The candidate should have exposure acting for multi-national companies seeking to transfer employees to multiple jurisdictions, HNW clients and highly skilled migrants, innovators and sole representatives of overseas business should also possess all round immigration knowledge especially with respect to British Nationality, EEA nationals, ILR and residency as well as all manner of personal immigration including spouse/fiancé visas.
The Role:
- Assist the team with a broad range of immigration work which includes: Sponsor Licence applications, Tier 2 Visas & Compliance, advising businesses from SME to FTSE 250, acting for Tier 1 'high-net-worth' clients, entry clearance and extension applications as well as settlement.
- When appropriate to communicate with clients and other contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
- To carry out administrative tasks such as opening new files, closing files, archiving etc.
- Assistance with filing of expenses, issuing proceedings, post, photocopying, faxing and general administration duties.
- To assist the department as appropriate, dealing with travel and accommodation arrangements, the management of fee earners' diaries and contacts details and the arrangement of client meetings, seminars and other relevant functions.
- To assist in financial management of the department (including billing and debt collection).
- Assistance with the implementation of departmental protocols and ensuring compliance with all firm file management processes.
- Booking Zoom calls and ensuring details are sent out to participating clients.
- Attendance at client meetings and conferences, taking notes and instructions.
