Professional Indemnity / Professional Disputes Associate or Senior Associate

Professional Indemnity Associate - A new role has arisen for an Associate with a strong background in professional indemnity and / or general commercial insurance. This is an outstanding role supporting two key partners in the firm on a range of exciting work. Professional indemnity experience is required, though all levels of PQE will be considered.

  • Previous Experience: Professional indemnity experience ideal. All levels of PQE considered, whether claimant or defendant. Will also consider commercial litigation experience, debt recovery experience and other areas of insurance and re-insurance.

Opportunity to be involved in fantastic range of work

The role is to assist and support two Partners who undertake a range of work. Examples can include claims brought against professionals in the financial sector to complex construction-related disputes. The team also advises on coverage issues and some claims do have a cross border element.

The firm has a growing offering in cyber-related litigation including actions arising out of data breaches and other IT-related breaches. In short, you will be working with two of the best lawyers in the field undertaking instructions from a broad mix of insurers and corporates.

Range of PQE considered

The team is looking to attract candidates from a very broad spectrum. All PQE ranges will be considered. Ideally candidates should demonstrate either defendant or claimant professional indemnity experience. However, in the past the team have considered candidates from other areas of litigation.

Strong litigation background and academics

In essence, the team is looking for robust litigators with a genuine passion for this area of work. A background in professional indemnity would be ideal, but the team will readily consider candidates with commercial litigation, other areas of insurance litigation as well as debt recovery. The role offers fantastic progression and the kind of work that will keep you tested and challenged throughout.
