Professional Liability Solicitor, 2-5 PQE, Hampshire – An exciting opportunity to work as an in-house Lawyer within a law firm, handling solicitors’ professional negligence claims.

SALARY: £45-55,000 DOE

THE ROLE:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Solicitor to join the internal risk and compliance team of this leading law firm. This team is a crucial and highly regarded function within the firm and deals will all aspects of risk including those arising from professional negligence and service delivery. The team is looking to recruit a Solicitor or Legal Executive. The role involves handling claims and complaints made against the firm, reporting to and liaising with insurers, providing advice internally on practice issues such as conflicts of interest.

THE CANDIDATE:
The ideal Professional Liability Solicitor would be currently undertaking defendant panel work for solicitor's professional indemnity insurers, or already doing so in house, being a team player with technical expertise, looking for a long term position in a sophisticated team. The firm is looking to appoint a Lawyer with circa 2-5 PQE to support the team with a variety of matters. A background in professional negligence and/or commercial litigation will be advantageous and exposure to handling claims and complaints is essential as is providing advice around risk avoidance.

SALARY & BENEFITS:
You can expect to earn a competitive basic salary plus a whole heap of benefits to include 26 days annual holiday, BUPA medical insurance and a pension scheme with a 5% employer contribution.
