Locum Childcare Lawyer – REMOTE WORKING – North London – Full Time – On going contract – £40-45 per hour Umbrella

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are currently working with a successful, busy Local Authority in North London, currently going through a very busy period within a large joint legal service, who are recruiting for a Locum Childcare Lawyers to join their department.

This is a full-time assignment (36 hours), and will be offered for an ongoing contract, with the initial period 3 months and then extended every 3 months thereafter.

This role is to be worked on a fully remote basis, once IT equipment has been picked up in person, to ensure setup, with no changes to this beyond June.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced Childcare Lawyer to become part of a successful joint legal service Local Authority.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within Local Government and it is essential that the successful candidate has a current practising certificate, specifically handling:

• Care proceedings and pre-proceedings
• Experience attending PLO meetings
• Drafting legal documents such as draft orders, thresholds and applications

The successful applicant will have a hard working manner and enthusiastic attitude, as well as excellent technical skills.

An hourly rate of up to £46 per hour umbrella is offered for this position, dependent upon experience. Prior local government experience required.
