Legal Counsel - US qualified

Due to an internal promotion, this leading global insurance company are looking for an experienced in-house lawyer to provide legal and regulatory advice to the firm.  

You will provide US legal advice to the claims department and the underwriting teams which will include:  managing the groups legal risk, manage any contentious or potentially contentious claims, assist with the negotiation of US claims settlements, advise reinsurance team on drafting and recovery issues.  

It is essential that you are a US qualified lawyer with experience of insurance and reinsurance law and regulations.  You will have in-depth insurance industry knowledge and will be a confident negotiator.  

This role will be based at their central London office with flexible working including remote working on offer.  However, you must be UK based and be prepared to travel to the US around twice a year.
