Commercial Lawyer, 12 Month FTC, 4+PQE - London

Our client, a leading Top 50 Firm in London, is looking for the support of a Senior Associate level Commercial Lawyer for a 12 month contract. The role will be to cover a period of leave within the team and will be predominantly focused on brands, ecommerce, technology, digital marketing and digital services work.

The commercial team is highly ranked within the legal directories and advise clients in a range of sectors to include TMT, life sciences, FinTech, retail, insurance and hospitality and sports.

Candidates can expect to work on a wide variety of commercial contracts to include brand marketing, advertising and sponsorship, collaboration, and ecommerce. A good working knowledge of data protection law and current IT security standards would be a bonus.

Specific sector knowledge in, for example, marketing, digital, broadcasting, consumer brands, retail and/or financial services would be of particular interest.

Successful candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales, or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia or New Zealand, for example)
• Possess upwards of 4 years' PQE
• Experience gained within a leading Law Firm - any relevant In House secondments would also be of interest
• A strong technical knowledge of a wide variety of commercial contracts
• Outstanding interpersonal skills
• Strong drafting skills
• The ability to work autonomously and as part of a wider team in a collaborative manner
