Our client is a major global IT company looking to add a member to the Sydney team. You will be a sole contributor supporting the business units with diverse transactions. The position will be responsible to handle all legal and contractual matters for the APJ region and will also be closely aligned and be required to interface regularly with the relevant business heads, procurement & sales team and all other support functions.

Job Responsibilities & Competencies
* Be the single point of contact for the APJ Enterprise Leadership team and Enterprise Sales teams in the region


* Assume ownership and accountability for overall legal and deal support for Enterprise APJ including drafting, contract structuring, negotiating and working in collaboration with country Legal and subject matter experts in the business groups and other legal functions to coordinate support across the region;


* Manage and resolve complex enterprise contracts and RFP/Tender issues with the respective business/customers/vendors.


* Assist in evaluating and conducting thorough due diligence for all enterprise deals and transactions and effectively develop and implement appropriate risk-mitigation strategies for the various segments.


* Evaluate the impact of evolving legal and statutory regulations and highlight the same in real time and contribute to the business planning process.

Qualifications

* Qualified lawyer in one of the following jurisdictions: Australia , Singapore, UK.

* Minimum 10-15 years PQE

* Trained/qualified at a top tier, reputable corporate/commercial law firm


* Experience in general ethics and compliance matters, familiarity with Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and European anti-corruption laws (or commitment to develop skills/knowledge in this area)

* Experience in Enterprise, Public Sector, IT, technology, Cloud services, data center or telecommunications industry

* In-house counsel experience in a global multi-national company

* Extensive experience in drafting commercial contracts and managing negotiations with customers

* Excellent legal skills and knowledge of contract and commercial law

* Proven track record in stakeholder management, with ability to interact and integrate effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization
