Lead Counsel - Real Estate

A major brand in the hospitality and leisure sector is seeking a c. 6+ PQE Commercial Property Lawyer to join the business as Lead Counsel, primarily focusing on Commercial Property matters but also advising on wider issues relating to the business.

This is a superb organisation which has performed extremely well over the past couple of years, and the position is ideal for a Real Estate lawyer looking to make the move into a Head of Legal role and further their skill set in more generalist matters.

The Role

Reporting into the Property Director and managing the Estates Team, the Lead Counsel will primarily be responsible for:
- Acquisitions and Disposals
- Landlord and Tenant matters
- Planning and Redevelopment matters

In addition to the Real Estate matters, you will be the first point of contact for a range of commercial matters, supported by a panel of firms. These include ad hoc legal queries from C-level colleagues, commercial contracts and ensuring best practices across the company.

The Person

You will be a c+ PQE lawyer with a strong background in Real Estate matters and a desire to take on a "Head of" position in an exciting industry. You will be eager to develop into new areas and be comfortable working with senior execs within the business.
