This is an exciting opportunity for solicitor with 1-8 years’ PQE and prior experience of public law, community care or claims against public authorities to join our award winning Public Law Department.

You will be joining an established team who do a mix of public law, community care, claims against public authorities and inquest work including representing victims of trafficking, vulnerable migrants, unaccompanied minors, looked after children and care leavers in a mix of judicial review and civil claims work.

The team is primarily based in London and Bristol and we are looking to expand in the North West, where we have offices in Manchester, Liverpool and Leeds and established public law teams already doing Court of Protection, community care, education and childcare work. We are looking for someone who can build on the expertise of our London and Bristol teams and either already has or has the ability to build relationships with NGOs and generate their own work. Prior experience of legal aid is required.

The role is a split working from home/office based role and you will have the opportunity to work from home at least 3 days per week. While the intention is that the role should be based out of our Manchester office, we are also willing to consider candidates who would rather be based out of our Leeds or Liverpool offices.

The successful candidate needs to have the ability to manage and run with their own caseload although we offer excellent supervision and support as well as the opportunity to progress and for the team to expand.

Diversity

We are actively committed to increasing the diversity of our firm and to breaking down the barriers that prevent many from entering the legal profession. We welcome applications from all sections of the community and encourage applications from individuals who are under-represented within the profession.
