Conveyancing Assistant
Location : Roundhay, Leeds
A thriving boutique firm in Roundhay is looking for a Conveyancing Assistant to join their growing team. The role includes both Residential and Commercial property conveyancing and both qualified candidates and non-qualified candidates will be considered.
At least 6 months experience as a Conveyancing Assistant at a regional or highstreet firm is essential, and the successful candidate will be familiar with the full conveyancing process for Sales and Purchase transactions. An awareness of the differences between free hold and lease hold titles as well as hands on experience working on a case management system are a key requirement. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is ready for further development and thrives in working within a team. This role offers exposure to both residential and commercial property making this an ideal starting point.
The role
- At least 6 months experience as a Conveyancing Assistant
- Preparing quotes
- Dealing with straight forward enquiries
- Diary management
- Preparing documents for each stage of the property transaction when required to so by the file handler
- Carrying out various requests from the file handlers in order to assist them with the running of the transaction, this could include, ordering documents from the Land Registry, Property Searches, AML checks etc…
- Ensuring the log of enquiries is kept up to date and correct
- Opening and closing files for new and completed property transactions
- General admin support such as photocopying, scanning filing, post collecting etc…
- Typing when required including copy typing
- Covering the reception area and delivering excellent customer service
- Taking calls, transferring through to the relevant file handler or taking messages
To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent client care, fantastic communication skills, be a team player and an accurate and efficient worker.
Salary guidance is £18K -£20K DOE with regular salary reviews and career progression and development opportunities.
