A new opportunity for a Personal Injury Lawyer at a UK Top 50 national law firm with offices across the UK
The Firm
A market leading legal firm providing specialist claims-related services to insurers, businesses and other suppliers to the insurance sector.
The Role
Working within the Complex Injury Claims Team dealing with large loss claims, you will manage your own multi-track claims (generally to the value of £250K) and assist the partners on complex, high value (in excess of £1M) catastrophic injury claims. The role will see you engage with sophisticated senior claims handlers in long-standing insurance clients. You will work as part of an established team progressing each file from receipt of papers from the insurer client to full resolution of the claim. The caseload will consist complex, high value multi-track injury claims (in the region of 20-25 files) and catastrophic injury claims involving brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation and fatal claims. You may also from time to time be involved in business development initiatives to further increase the profile of the team.
Suitability
The firm are keen to hear from qualified solicitor, CILEX or individuals with proven long term experience in managing work as outlined above, your expertise should cover experience of indemnity, liability and complex medical issues within a defendant team with excellent attention to detail being a key requirement. Your existing skillset should also include, quantum analysis, good advocacy skills and sound understanding of case law and litigation practice and process, and Court Practice Rules.
