We are delighted to be instructed by this internationally recognised business to recruit a Commercial solicitor to cover a 12-month fixed term contract.

Reporting into the Head of Legal, your role will involve, amongst other things, liaising with the procurement team to advise on tender processes, drafting and negotiating a range of supplier and customer-facing contracts and providing operational and strategic legal advice and support to manage and mitigate procurement-related legal risks within the organisation.

You will work from either the business’ Leeds or Manchester offices but can also expect to work from home for part of the week. You will need to be able to travel to London and other locations as and when required/permitted. There are flexible working opportunities available. 

You will be part of an established, supportive legal team who are happy to mentor and train more junior members.

The role is open to UK-qualified solicitors or a qualified solicitor from a comparable common law jurisdiction with UK experience. NQs are not required to possess previous commercial experience but a demonstrable interest is required. Previous in-house experience is an advantage but is not critical.

The business is keen to appoint a solicitor to start as soon as possible.
