Senior Legal Counsel (German Speaking)

Our client is an investment bank with a strong reputation in Asia.  They are currently undergoing a period of significant European expansion and their well established London office is at the centre of this.  The bank is consistently growing and they are currently looking to recruit a senior legal counsel to join the small London legal team in a German focused role.  Your diverse responsibilities will include advising on regulatory matters, commercial contracts as well as some broader corporate and equities sales & trading aspects.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years' pqe with a strong understanding of the financial services sector.  You will be comfortable working in other European jurisdictions as well as the UK and have business German language skills. Being dual qualified, in the UK and Germany, would benefit your application.  You will be a direct and straight talking communicator with the ability to build strong relationships, make quick judgement calls and influence decision making.
