Criminal Duty Solicitor

£35,000 - £45,000
A Duty Solicitor is wanted for an opportunity with a highly rated Liverpool based law firm with an excellent reputation for its Criminal Law advice. Applications are invited from experienced Duty Solicitors who are interested in progressing their careers in a top ranked Criminal law department. Salary is negotiable and dependent on experience plus comprehensive benefits including generous holiday entitlement.
The successful candidate will join a successful Criminal Law department, managing a full and varied caseload that may include general and serious crime. Day to day duties will include fee earning on criminal cases taking instructions, advising, and representing clients, advocacy, briefing counsel and experts, liaising with, and attending on third parties, including, and not limited to witnesses, counsel, experts and prosecuting authorities. Advising clients both during and out of hours at police stations and courts. Participating in the out of hours police station on call rota and Saturday and Bank Holiday court rotas,
The successful candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years Criminal Law experience, professional attitude, and solid work history.
