THE COMPANY
An international fintech company in the payments sector.
THE ROLE
Based in the global legal team with responsibility for supporting the company's commercial and compliance/operations teams as it relates to the business in Europe.
Your role will be to focus on payment service regulations, provisions regulating banking activity (PSD 2, CRD IV), as well as other provisions impacting financial services - e., AML, Consumer Credit Act, bankruptcy regulations.
You will have proven commercial acumen, providing legal support to the European business, reviewing, structuring, drafting, and negotiating complex commercial agreements, and advising with regard to operational/compliance issues.
ABOUT YOU
A commercial contracts lawyer with 2-4pqe, you will ideally have a payments background, although this is not essential.
UK qualified, you will have an active interest in the payments legal space.
You will have strong commercial contracts experience to enable you to work with merchants, payment service providers and vendors ideally paired with experience within financial Services, compliance and knowledge of payment regulations.
Additional European languages - ideally German, Polish, Norwegian or French would be useful
