One of our US Law firm clients has recently instructed us on a new role. Th e position is for a Research Services Administrator, this role will start from December on a 12-month contract, mat cover basis. The candidate should be open to going into the office 2 days a week but can do more office days if required. Eventually, the firm will be going back to 4 days a week in the office. Candidates should be able to commit to this.

This role will join the Research Services Team and assist in supporting needs of Lawyers and Business Services professionals throughout the London office. Duties will include but are not limited to aiding with general administrative support for the firm, including maintaining records, shelving, stock taking and filing. You will also need to assist in movement throughout the firm, keeping up to date with new joiners and seconded employees and managing those returning from maternity or paternity leave. The role will also involve database management, supporting and maintaining library management system. Ensuring records kept are accurate and ensuring old records and files are saved and archived correctly. The candidate will also be required to get employs set up and registered, creating passwords, user details and troubleshooting when needed, using the password management system Onelog. Previous experience with this would be beneficial but not essential.  Another aspect of the role will be to order and catalogue new acquisitions. This will also involve fixing vendor and publishing problems and assisting in renewing journals and resources for the firm. The candidate will also need to process invoices for these using Chrome River software, again experience with this would be beneficial. Other ad hoc duties may also arise.

The firm are looking for someone who is degree educated and with experience in administrative processes, ideally in a Law firm setting with strong aptitude for MS office-based applications and a good understanding of literacy and numeracy skills. The core hours for this role are 9:30am- 5:30pm. The role will be paying up to £26,000 dependent on experience and has a good benefits package attached.
