Commercial law firm in London is looking to recruit a Commercial lawyer of 2 or more years’ PQE. The Commercial team covers a very broad range of sectors such as technology, real estate, sport, e-sport, retail, hospitality & leisure, ESG, life sciences and media. They also cover a very broad range of commercial agreements including standard terms and conditions; online contracts; sponsorship, endorsement, management, catering, hospitality, manufacturing, agency and distribution agreements through to the more complex tax-driven international commercial arrangements and multi-party collaboration and licensing agreements. Over recent years, technology-related work has become an increasingly important part of the group's remit and includes software and app development; SaaS agreements; licensing and hosting agreements; e-commerce; and telecoms agreements. Whilst data work is conducted within the separate Data Practice Group, many of the fee-earners in the Commercial team provide support to and work with the Data practice group. The team also helps their clients to expand their international reach and to generate income through franchising, distribution, agency and supply arrangements and licensing. They also offer the full range of services: from helping a business to decide upon the most appropriate structure for their international growth through to working with the Brand practice group, to ensure their brands and other rights are protected. They are also often called upon to document and negotiate bespoke and innovative agreements. They therefore need to be very flexible in their approach to the delivery of legal services.

We are looking to hear from Commercial lawyers with experience of drafting and negotiating commercial contracts such as franchise agreements, sponsorship, management distribution, agency, licencing agreements, supply of services, sale of goods, etc. Some IT contracts experience and an understanding of data protection would be desirable but is certainly not essential.
