Directories-listed Construction department at this London law firm is seeking to recruit two non-contentious Construction lawyers – one of 0 to 2 years’ PQE and the other of 3 or more years’ PQE. The non-contentious Construction practice is truly comprehensive in scope and features leading work on a national scale. They advise on nationally important infrastructure projects, such as energy generation (primarily through renewable sources), regeneration and iconic development projects, mixed use and residential development, commercial and logistics projects and major retail developments. Work ranges from initial procurement advice, legal project management, through to negotiating complex construction procurement agreements, whether bespoke or based on the myriad industry standard forms commonly used in the UK, and whether leading or working alongside other advisers. They also work closely with the firms’ contentious construction, major projects, renewables, commercial real estate and banking and project finance teams. Given the firm’s broader strategic focus on the impact of decarbonisation, urbanisation and digitalisation on our firm-wide sector focus areas, we foresee significant growth of the non-contentious construction work stream. In particular, we are keen to hear from candidates with an interest in (and, if possible, experience of) the following areas: • Energy, Renewables and Power • PFI/PPP projects • General UK domestic development work.

Our client will consider candidates who either currently specialise in non-contentious Construction or currently undertake a mix of contentious and non-contentious matters but perhaps looking to specialise in non-contentious work. Newly-qualified candidates will have undertaken a seat in Construction law.
