Locum Commercial Contracts & Procurement Lawyer – Midlands– Fully Remote Working –3 months initially– up to £50 per hour.

Venn Group’s specialist legal team are pleased to be recruiting for a Locum Commercial Contracts Solicitor to join a prestigious Local Authority in the Midlands. This assignment will be for an initial period of three months subject to possible extension thereafter and will be worked on a fully remote basis for the foreseeable future. The client seeking someone a candidate either on a full time or part time basis.

The ideal candidate would be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive who is able to handle a caseload of contracts and commercial matters with professional experience gained within Local Government.

Duties may include:

  • Reviewing existing contracts, revising and amending existing contracts to make them fit for the Council’s purpose that achieves clients’ objectives

  • Drafting agreements including variation agreements and consultancy agreements

  • Efficient management of workloads adhering to given timescales and budgets

  • Appointing suppliers and arranging procurement with both new and existing stakeholders

  • An attractive hourly rate of between £45 - £50 Umbrella is offered for this position dependant on experience.
