Description
Public Affairs Manager - Regions and Nations
London (flexible)
Role:
- Work with colleagues to establish and strengthen policy positions that promote the strength of the financial and related professional services industry hubs across the UK
- Coordinate and support outreach across the Organisation's network of City Chairs, who are active in Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff, Leeds, Greater Manchester and Newcastle
- Engage proactively with government at both national, devolved and local level (including with ministers, mayors and constituency MPs) to promote the Organisation's policy priorities
- Lead on the production and delivery of set piece events, such as our annual National Conference
- Organise the launch of major regional reports in locations across the UK, and develop research content with insight drawn from regional engagement activity
- Collaborate with national and regional partner organisations on projects including regional events, visiting delegations and local initiatives
- Support the work of the Head of Public Affairs and the wider work of the Public Affairs Team where necessary
Profile

Essential:
- Experience of a public affairs environment
- Understanding of and interest in local and regional policy, economic and political issues
- Excellent influencing and communications skills
- Ability to network, develop relationships and work with senior individuals across a range of organisations
- Analytical and writing skills of a high calibre
- Ability to develop and learn as policy areas develop
- Good understanding of broader communications and stakeholder engagement skills
